About Us

We are an organization that is dedicated to helping children with disabilities. We focus on making spaces friendly for individuals with sensory needs. We make spaces that accommodate people who have autism, PTSD, dementia and ADHD.

Tanya Acosta MA. CCC-SLP is the founder and Director of Autism Consulting Group and Boston Speech Therapy. She is a bilingual speech and language pathologist who has more than 14 years of experience working with children who have sensory needs. Tanya received her bachelor’s degree at Boston University and a Masters Degree in Communication Disorders at Indiana University. She is a licensed member of the American Speech and Hearing Association.

She has worked globally in the US, Ireland, and Mexico as an educational consultant. In Ireland she worked with an Autism Therapy Group, providing speech therapy consulting services to children and increased awareness of Autism to the surrounding community by presenting at various community centers.

Beyond these academic credentials, Tanya has an insider’s perspective, a strong sense of empathy, and a passion for increasing awareness and adapting spaces to provide comfort and convenience. As a mother of a child who has special needs, she is able to understand the unique myriad of challenges at hand and can implement custom solutions that promote comfort and reduce judgment. She loves to travel with her family and is passionate about making changes that facilitate a less complicated travel experience for families who have a loved one with special needs.
